Way to go Improv Team!! We placed 2nd in the county wide Theatre Sports this past weekend. Students representing Langley were Jessie Jolles (captain), Maria Gilhooley, James Rosenquist, Peter Wiese and Maddie Wise. For more details, go to the Improv page.
Congratulations to our Drama Department. We have been selected to perform at the National Performing Arts Festival in February. This is a very prestigious event held at DisneyWorld. Langley's Saxon Stage is one of a select few throughout the country that will be participating in the event.
On Thursday, December 14th, Drama 3/4 students presented a program of Short Plays during 4th period. This was a culmination of projects they had been rehearsing in class. The students selected and directed the plays.
The next payment for the DisneyWorld trip is due Tuesday, January 16.
Drama 3 and 4 students are hard at work writing, acting and editing their film to promote the Black and White Dance. The film will be shown at the January 19th Pep Rally
Drama 1 students have just completed recording their radio shows. The shows were wriiten by the students, based on the old time CBS mystery hour.
Drama 2 students are in rehearsal for the Childrens Theatre tour planned for January. We will travel to local elementary schools and perform for kindergarten through the second grade classes.
Our New York trip is tentatively planned for March 28 & 29. Specific details will be available soon.
